About the Artist
It's About Place and Life
Richa Wilson is a plein air and studio painter based in Ogden, Utah. Before dedicating herself to painting, she was an architectural historian with the U.S. Forest Service. Her career included extensive fieldwork in remote places, which shaped her deep appreciation for the landscapes and heritage of the Intermountain West. This connection to the land continues to inform her artistic practice.
While she enjoys exploring still life arrangements and other subjects, Richa is consistently drawn back to the challenge of capturing the ever-changing moods found in nature. As a world traveler and former Peace Corps volunteer, she also finds inspiration around the globe. She truly believes that each place has its own beauty, even if not obvious at first, and seeks to share that through her paintings.
